Lavender Nappy Salve 50ml
Lavender Nappy Salve 50ml
Our wonderful, all-natural Lavender Nappy Salve is an essential product for any parent’s baby care kit! This handy 50ml tin has a multitude of uses, whether you pop it in your changing bag or use it at home as a general-purpose family ointment.
This soft and gentle beeswax-based ointment can be used as part of a daily cleansing routine to maintain soft, healthy skin and to repel the dampness that causes nappy or dribble rash. The beeswax forms a protective but breathable barrier over the skin, providing the necessary oils and nutrients to keep baby’s delicate skin soft and hydrated and also protecting against excess wetness. It’s a great little ointment to support the skin’s natural functions for babies prone to dribble rash, chapped skin or cradle cap. It’s even useful for adults as a lip balm, hand cream or all-over general salve!
Unlike other ‘natural’ nappy creams, we don’t add any unnecessary perfumes or synthetics at all. It’s all just 100% simple, minimally-processed, natural ingredients.
Can be used in conjunction with our Chamomile Baby Oil when changing nappies naturally!
For a more intensive emollient, especially if skin is broken or scratched raw from itching, we’d suggest you use our beeswax-based Intensive Moisturising Ointment.
Lavender Nappy Salve is totally free from parabens, preservatives, petrochemicals or perfumes, which makes it perfect for dry or sensitive skin. It’s also suitable for people who may be prone to dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis and dry, sore, itchy skin conditions.

Directions for use
This beeswax-based salve is rich and thick; a little goes a long way!
If it’s a cold day then the ointment can be quite firm and harder to apply; this is perfectly normal and is just a quality of the natural beeswax we use. You can warm up a small amount of the salve in your hand or your fingers before use; that’ll make it much easier to smooth on.
As a nappy cream: apply the salve liberally to carefully cleaned and dried skin when needed, to keep skin in well-moisturised, healthy condition and help to prevent soreness. It can be used as often as you require.
As face cream: use the salve to nourish and protect baby’s delicate skin if they’re prone to dribble rash; just clean and dry the areas around baby’s mouth, chin or nose carefully first and then apply softened ointment where and when needed to protect from dribbles!
As cradle cap cream: use the salve as an emollient on areas prone to cradle cap, keeping skin soft and moisturised and helping to prevent dryness. Just apply to the scalp as and when needed. If you need to wash off excess ointment, then try our incredibly mild and gentle Natural Shampoo.
As this salve is oil-based, please be careful when you’re out in the sunshine! We’d advise that you don’t apply ointment to exposed areas such as the face or lips before going out in strong, hot sunlight as it can burn. Instead, use the salve last thing at night.
We recommend customers patch test on an unaffected area close to the affected area before use (leave for 24 hours) as some people may be allergic even to the very gentle ingredients we use in this product.
Do not use if you are sensitive or allergic to any of the ingredients in this product.
Keep cool. For external use only.
